SONATORI E CANTORI – Domus & Hortus artis 2026

The summer part of the Domus & Hotus artis 2026 festival opens with a concert of Italian Baroque impressions from the 17th century.

At the concert, Solamente naturali will present the world of instrumental and vocal music of the Italian early Baroque. Miloš Valent, artistic director of Solamente naturali, speaks about the concert programme and the era that gave rise to Baroque monody and virtuosic instrumental music: “The unveiling of new feelings, until then hidden — disappointment, uncertainty, but also the ideal of beauty, portrayed through nature, scenes from Greek mythology, all the way to pure love… All of this lies hidden within 17th-century Italian music, which breaks with the old order and arrives in new attire full of passion, originality and freedom.”
